Blaauwklippen Zinfandel 2019 is a distinguished red wine that exemplifies the elegance and complexity of this varietal. Meticulously crafted, it showcases a harmonious blend of fruit, spice, and floral notes, making it a versatile choice for a variety of culinary pairings.

Preparation:
The grapes for this Zinfandel were handpicked and bunch sorted in the vineyard to ensure only the best quality grapes were used. Upon arrival at the cellar, the grapes were processed, and whole berry alcoholic fermentation commenced in French oak casks and stainless-steel tanks. To ensure the extraction of quality tannins and flavors, twice daily pump-overs were conducted. After fermentation, the wine was matured for 12 months in 300L French oak barrels, with 27% being first fill.

Character:
This wine offers plush sour cherry and abundant cranberry flavors, complemented by notes of licorice, dark chocolate, cinnamon, and allspice. Delicate floral notes enhance the aromatic profile. On the palate, it is savory and textured, with chalky tannins and a mineral mid-palate. The finish is fresh and focused, with lingering hints of tobacco.
