Grande Provence (Angels Tears) – Moscato

The Grande Provence Angels Tears Moscato 2019 is a charming and naturally sweet wine, crafted from the venerated vines of Muscat d’ Alexandrie, constituting 77% of the blend, complemented by 22% Chenin Blanc. Originating from the Western Cape, this wine is a testament to the estate’s heritage, utilizing grapes from a 28-year-old Muscat d’ Alexandrie vineyard—one of the earliest plantings on the Grande Provence Heritage Wine Estate.

The vinification process involves gentle destemming and pressing of the grapes, which are hand-harvested in a raisin-like state to enhance their natural sweetness. This is masterfully balanced by the crisp acidity of Chenin Blanc, creating a harmonious blend. Fermentation is carefully controlled in tanks at a cool 13°C and is halted at an optimal point to preserve the desired sweetness and character of the wine.

With an alcohol content of 13%, a pH of 3.70, residual sugar at 29 g/l, and total acidity of 5.0 g/l, this wine is an exquisite choice for various occasions.
